Review of Wars of the Roses: Margaret of Anjou by Conn Iggulden

Allison Senecal:

I loved this as much as “Stormbird”, the first of the series. Derry Brewer is a great fictional “protagonist” (depends on if you like the Lancasters or the Yorks, now doesn’t it?), about as interesting as any of Bernard Cornwell’s. I enjoyed the continued focus on Margaret of Anjou and Richard of York, two figures often glossed over in the rush to get to Edward IV and Richard III. Action and political intrigue abound. As I do with Maurice Druon’s series, I’d recommend these strongly to fans of A Song of Ice and Fire.
