Old Firehouse Books loves educators! Teachers, librarians, principals and more will be welcome at the first ever Educator’s Night on Sunday, September 20th from 6-7pm. To express our gratitude for their commitment to educating our children, we will provide the wine, snacks, and fantastic prizes at this free event.
Participants will learn about exciting upcoming titles, get decorations for their classroom, find out how to bring authors to their school, and more! Not to mention, every attendee gets a $5 gift card to spend at Old Firehouse Books! Guests must register by Friday, September 18th in order to attend. E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, school, and job title so we can be sure to have enough goody bags on hand.
Beer & book lovers unite! Old Firehouse Books is teaming up with New Belgium Brewing to host a book talk and signing with Jeff Alworth, author of The Beer Bible. This comprehensive, authoritative book will do for beer what The Wine Bible did for wine. Alworth is an expert in craft brewing and has written about beer for more than 15 years. His other books include The Beer Tasting Toolkit and Cider Made Simple. So grab your favorite New Belgium draft and join us at this free event Wednesday, September 23rd at 7pm at New Belgium Brewery in Fort Collins.
On Thursday, September 24th Old Firehouse Books will host a reading and book signing with local author Annabelle Fern Praznik. Praznik is a celebrated slam poet in the Fort Collins community and The Unfolding is her first book.
A collection of flash nonfiction, The Unfolding is a unique collection of 21 tiny tales. Through the pages Praznik explores her coming of age from wildflower childhood to wayward teenagehood to howling motherhood. Meet Praznik and hear her stories at Old Firehouse Books at 6pm on Thursday, September 24th.
