REVIEW- Last Song Before Night by Ilana C. Myer

A beautiful and haunting fantasy set in a world where words are power. The characterization here is deep and the imagery is often sublime. Tamryllin is a city, like Rivendell or Darujhistan, that I would love to visit if not live in, simply due to Myer’s ability to set me down in its streets. There are twists and turns, and I made many false assumptions about the characters, only to be pleasantly (and sometimes unpleasantly) surprised later. A great debut!
