This October, Old Firehouse Books is partnering with Colorado State University Libraries and the Poudre River Public Library District to bring you An Afternoon with Al Roker! Al Roker, known best as the weatherman on the Today show, will be touring through Fort Collins to promote the release of his new book, The Storm of the Century: Tragedy, Heroism, Survival, and the Epic True Story of America’s Deadliest Natural Disaster: The Great Gulf Hurricane. In his book Roker tells the fascinating tale and humanizing account of how Galveston, Texas had its future completely changed in the course of a single evening, testing the resolve of a stunned nation.
This event will take place at the University Center for the Arts in the Griffin Concert Hall onSaturday, October 10th at 3pm.
