Review of Soundless by Richelle Mead

I love Richelle Mead, I devoured the Vampire Academy novels in no time, and she didn’t disappoint with “Soundless”. Fei’s village has been deaf for as long as she can remember. Her village harvests ore and minerals from the mountain, and sends it to the town at the base of the mountain in exchange for food, clothes, etc. Yet when blindness starts to overtake her village, and the town that sends them food starts to withhold food for more ore, Fei must save her village. Steeped in beautiful Chinese mythology and folklore, I fell in love with the setting of this book, and the characters. Will highly recommend to those looking for something a little different.
