Review- The Very Persistent Gappers of Frip by George Saunders, Lane Smith

A fantastic & irreverent fairy tale from the zany brains of George Saunders (Tenth of December, The Brief and Frightening Reign of Phil) and Lane Smith (illustrator of the Stinky Cheese Man) about how we treat those who’ve suffered misfortune. I love Saunder’s dry humor & thoughtful observations on humanity, but this book really shines because of the perfect pairing with artist Lane Smith. His unusual and almost haunting style fits Saunders’ writing perfectly. ~Kelsey Myers
