Review-The Night Parade by Kathryn Tanquary

Saki, a thirteen year old from Toyko, is forced to join her family on vacation to visit her grandmother in the mountains of Japan; which for any teenager is the end of the world. While trying to appease the popular kids in the village Saki conjures up a death curse that will take over the human world within three days, unless Saki has the courage and conviction to stop it. With the help of three spirit guides, Saki must walk the Night Parade and overcome challenges placed in her way to stop this curse. Highly imaginative, beautifully written and what a wonderful book that talks about becoming true to oneself. While reading this all I could picture was a Miyazaki film in my head, and it was beautiful! Will highly recommend. ~Teresa Steele
