Books to read this year

Maybe you missed some of the big hits of 2015

but guess what, as long as you are still breathing, try some of these in 2016.

The Martian by Andy Weir

Okay you are probably sick of this recommendation, but it’s freakin’ awesome! and has so much more than the movie! So read it!

Euphoria by Lily King

Another adventure book, based on earth this time, on Anthropologists trying to make sense of a new social science in 1930s New Guinea. Female lead, lots of juicy stories and ideas. Hard to walk away and it’s based on the real life Margaret Mead.

Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

Crime drama, cheating, lying, manipulation, MURDER. All juicy and fascinating and a book you won’t want to leave behind.

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

I’m not one to usually pickup space operas and other dramas, but I found this one hard to resist when someone told me about the SPACE ZOMBIES! Written for teens, but so much more, this story takes you on an amazing future adventure full of romance, comedy, action, and heroes!

Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari

Just in time for Valentine’s comes a comedic social analysis of what love and romance mean in the modern world for millennials in a land on online dating, tweets, snaps and emojis.

Happy Reading!
