I was up at 6am! and yes that is a Marauder’s map dress!

This October I had the fantabulous experience of getting to go to Universal Studios Orlando!

My baby sister and I were pretty stoked!

Because you can’t have a potter tattoo and not go if you are in Orlando, let alone the theme park.

Also, 8 year old me desperately need to go be an 8-year-old in a theme park and 11-year-old me wanted to live the potter books and movies, and buy my wand, and get sorted, and try butter beer, and act like a spaz about the Hogwarts Express.

The Knight Bus starts the journey to Diagon Alley

We spent like 75% of the day in “Harry Potter World” which is split between a “Diagon Alley” and a “Hogsmeade” and in two separate parks. This means it not only takes up a huge area, but it also means you have to buy a duel park ticket. (I got connections and got in for free :P) making it an extra awesome day!

Anyway, we started in Diagon Alley, because it meant that we could buy a wand, get some beer and begin checking out the world of our dreams!

We rode the rides, got a show and drank frozen butter beer (it was like 90 out so this was a nessecity). I skipped (literally) around Diagon, took a side trip to Knockturn Alley. My sister bought a wand and played, yes for real, was able to play and manipulate windows and other fun things! We also stopped for a show, saw the dragon on Gringotts breath fire, and we went into the vaults of Gringotts. We watched a youngin’ find her wand at Olivander’s and made our way through crowds at Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes to buy some chocolate frogs and other shenanigans.

It was TRULY magical!

Butter Beer!

I was grinning like the Chesire Cat the entire time and cried, only a little, out of joy for being there.

This girl is possibly mental…or really happy….

One adventure on the Hogwarts Express later and we were in Hogsmeade, with snow-capped roofs, and PUMPKIN JUICE! I let my more adventurous travel mates hit the roller coaster while I wandered and enjoyed the truly brilliant details that were put into the park.

I kept the baby pumpkin on top!

Enjoy the photos and videos, and make a trip there! If you love Harry Potter, you won’t be disappointed and if you just like feeling like you’ve ran away to a magical place, then it’s even better!
