This novel starts with a literally bang; a private plane crashes on the way to NYC from Martha’s Vineyard, the only survivors are a washed up painter and the young child of a news channel magnate. As the story progresses, Hawley does a wonderful job of weaving the passengers backstories with the present of how the child and painter are dealing with the aftermath. Great thriller, would recommend to those looking for something fun that grabs them from the start.
