Book Review: Rich People Problems by Kevin Kwan

Kevin Kwan’s Crazy Rich Asians trilogy is a hilarious romp that reads like the best kind of reality TV. Like the first two books in the trilogy, Rich People Problems was full of outrageous characters whose zaniness was only exceeded by their even crazier wealth. I loved catching up with these crazy-rich Asians and following my favorites through the trails and tribulations of the ultra-rich.

The cast from the first book — Nick, Rachel, Astrid (oh, how I love Astrid), Eleanor, etc.– are all featured in the third book with even more robust stories and problems. I don’t want to say too much and risk spoiling anything, but HOLY COW do these characters cause some drama.

Kevin Kwan somehow managed to perfectly tie off every loose end for an endlessly enjoyable romp through a world far outside of my own. I highly recommend the trilogy (Get Crazy Rich Asians here and China Rich Girlfriend here) to anyone who loves a good character study or crazy, laugh-out-loud-funny drama.
