Holiday Staff Picks: Revati

Hello readers!

We’re diving into the holiday spirit and hoping you get your orders in early! The earlier, the better, what with 2020, slower-than-usual printing presses, and the mail under siege. To help you get your lists in order, we’re offering up holiday staff picks! Each of us will have a few books we think should be on your holiday lists this year for everyone from grandkids to grandpas. Check out Revati’s top three!

The Couch Potato, by John Jory, illustrated by Pete Oswald
for kiddos ages 4 and up

Finally, a book that speaks to me.  Jory’s newest picture books has his classic humor and Pete Oswald once again delights with quirky illustrations. During this time when many of us don’t want to leave the comfort of our couch, sharing this book with a little one will be an excellent idea.

Home Style Cookery, by Matty Matheson
for anyone looking to up their cooking game

Yeooow!!! It’s Matty Matheson! If you’ve seen any of Matty’s amazing cooking videos, I highly recommend them to get re-energized to start cooking. Yes, he is BIG butter believer, but his food is worth it. This book has so many good recipes to choose from, especially since we’re headed into some cold weather.

Legendborn, by Tracy Deonn
for teens looking for a diverse update on a classic

I know this was already a pick of mine a month ago, but I don’t care! I love this fresh fantasy that will be a great gift for a teen or just someone that is looking for a great story. There is prefect mix of magic, Arthurian legend and the reality of a Black teen in a Southern college.

You can purchase any or all of these books for anyone on your list by clicking on their titles above. Remember, we’ll deliver to you on Wednesday or Saturday!

Happy reading!
