We’re diving into the holiday spirit and hoping you get your orders in early! The earlier, the better, what with 2020, slower-than-usual printing presses, and the mail under siege. To help you get your lists in order, we’re offering up holiday staff picks! Each of us will have a few books we think should be on your holiday lists this year for everyone from grandkids to grandmas. Here are Tara’s top three picks!
Simply Delicious Vegan, by Caitlin Shoemaker
for anyone looking to cook healthy in the new year
I’ve used Caitlin’s recipes for years now and absolutely love them! These recipes are all vegan and easy. No obscure ingredients and no ingredients that will break the bank. If you have a vegan friend, are interested in changing up your kitchen routine, or are interested in going vegan yourself, this book is for you!
The Guest List, by Lucy Foley
for mystery lovers looking for a new Agatha Christie-like experience
For fans of And Then There Were None, this closed room murder mystery is the perfect gift! A murder happens on a secluded island while a wedding is taking place, quickly turning it from a celebration to a terrifying murder scene. Every guest is a suspect. Told from multiple perspectives, this is a thrilling and fast read.
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, by V.E. Schwab
for anyone looking for fiction with just a hint of magic (for lovers of the Night Circus!)
Sometimes I get scared to start a book. Usually this is due to the length of the book and the reviews that the book is getting (nothing is worse than being let down by a book that you think you will love). I had both of these fears and more when I started Addie but I am so glad that I read it. This book is a beautiful look at life and love and what it means to be human.
You can purchase any or all of these books for anyone on your list by clicking on their titles above. Remember, we’ll deliver to you on Wednesday or Saturday!
