Happy spring! We’ve almost made it–the sun is shining, that snow is all mostly melted, and things are looking up! Vaccines are rolling out, and while we are still taking precautions and being very careful, we’re starting to look ahead to when things might be a little bit more normal.
How weird is that?
Part of the exciting future-looking, forward-planning is new hours in April!
Starting April 1st, we will be open 10-3 Monday through Friday, and 10-5 on Saturdays and Sundays! These may change as the month goes on, and vaccines continue to roll out, but we’re being cautiously optimistic here. We will once again be accepting cash, but all our other pandemic restrictions are still in place: Masks are still required, and we will still be limiting the number of customers in the store at a time. Thank you for your understanding and compliance with these safety measures!
Curbside pickup, home delivery, and shipping via USPS are still available, of course.
One more piece of good news: we’re going to start accepting books for trade once more! We’ve missed taking in your used books and giving them new homes, and while there will be safety measures and some changes to the old system, we’re happy to get back to having those good used titles on the shelves again!
Starting April 2nd, you can sign up at this form for a Trade Desk Appointment. There are 30 minute time slots for Wednesday (10-12), Friday (10-12), and Sunday (10-4). And there are some new restrictions:
- We will accept a maximum of 30 books per time slot.
- Books that we do not take will be returned to you. (We do not have a place to donate books to currently.)
- You MUST stay at the store during your time slot.
- If you are not here when your slot is done, books that we did not take will be thrown away.
Please see the Trade Policy page of our website (here) for our official trade policy and what books we do and do not accept.
If you have any questions, you are always welcome to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Here’s to spring! We’ll be seeing you!
